T&C'S and disclaimers
All bookings are subject to the T&C’s below. Changes might be made to the T&C from time to time and we will send you any changes that occur. Booking an appointment with Purr and pamper cat grooming confirms you are accepting the T&C’s below
Payment:
Payment must be taken before the groom or on the day of the groom. This will be through bank transfer or cash. I will need to see evidence of the bank transfer before I leave to confirm that it's all gone through.
Cancellations:
Bookings must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance even if you need to move the groom to another day. If you fail to cancel an appointment (unless a valid reason is given) you will have to pay for the grooming appointment.
Booking your appointment:
To book an appointment you can fill out a form on the website, send an email, text or Facebook message. When your booking is made, you must be added onto our booking system so that we can require details about your name, address, phone number and your cats details. It will also send you booking reminders and cancellation details. See our GDPR privacy policy details for more information on how we store your details.
Pricing estimates:
I will always try to provide an estimated cost for grooming based on the information you have provided. On the day of the groom, I will access the condition and temperament of your cat but prices might change depending on the circumstances. For example, if there is any matting. I will advise you of any additional costs before I start the groom.
Health:
You must only get your cat groomed with purr and pamper if your cat is fit and healthy and you must agree to notify us of any illnesses or medical history prior to the groom. A full groom (no bath) can take up to an hour, which can be physically demanding and stressful for some cats. Whilst we take extra care with elderly, overweight and nervous cats we will stop the groom if we find that there is an increased risk of stress, injury or other health issues.
We ask that cats are vaccinated. Purr and pamper cat grooming takes no responsibility for any cat that might contract the vaccinated diseases. Please see the general health and safety disclaimer below
Home visits:
If I am travelling to your home, a travel fee will be added depending on the location. This will be calculated at 45p per mile for both the journey to you and the return trip
Please make sure that your cat is inside prior to my arrival
Grooming area:
If grooming takes place in your home, I will need a small, secure area with good lighting where I can set up a table
Cat hair may need to be disposed of in your household bin if you are comfortable with this
Matting and fleas:
If matting or pelting is found during the groom, an additional charge will apply depending on the level of difficulty it takes to remove the matting. Purr and pamper cat grooming will not be liable for any skin conditions under the mats. Please see below for a general health and safety disclaimer for our cat grooming
If fleas are found during the groom, an additional charge will apply for fumigating and deep cleaning of any tools and equipment
Photos for social media:
I will only use photos of your cat for social media or my website if you have consented to this. I will never sell photos or give away any information about your cat. You can opt out of this at any time
Insurance and DBS
I am insured to provide mobile cat grooming services by Pet plan and I am DBS checked. I can provide proof of this if needed
Grooming disclaimer
Purr and pamper cat grooming will always put your cats health and safety first. Please read and acknowledge the following disclaimer before your cats grooming appointment
Health
We ensure that your cats grooming session will be safe and comfortable. However, it can sometimes expose underlying problems including skin conditions, matting or health issues that weren’t noticed before the groom. We are not responsible for any pre existing medical conditions.
We ask that cats are vaccinated. We take no responsibility for any cat that might contract the vaccinated diseases.
Matting
De-matting can be painful and stressful if there is excessive matting/pelting. In these cases, the mats will have to be shaved. An extra charge will be added onto the groom for matting and pelt removal. Mat removals can be a time consuming process which can be stressful for your cat. If we find that there is an increased risk of stress, injury or illness we will stop the groom and refer you to a vet
Whilst Purr and pamper cat grooming takes extra precaution during mat removals, we will not be liable for any skin conditions underneath the mats. Removing mats can cause irritation, inflammation, cuts and grazes as their skin is paper thin and mats can be tight and painful to the skin. It can also expose pre existing skin conditions. The groom might not look perfect as we will prioritise your cats health first
Behaviour and aggression
If your cat exhibits extreme aggression or extreme nervousness during grooming, we will stop the groom and refer you to a vet. Payment will still be taken even if we haven’t completed the groom
If you are aware that your cat has a history of aggressiveness or extreme nervousness, you must inform us prior to booking your appointment
Fleas
If fleas are noticed during a groom, an additional charge will apply for fumigating and deep cleaning the grooming tools and equipment. This is required to prevent spreading parasites to other pets.
We advise rescheduling your appointment if you know that your cat has fleas or informing us before the appointment
Acknowledgement
By reading this disclaimer you agree to all of the above and acknowledge that:
- Grooming can cause stress especially to cats who are nervous or aggressive
- Some cats might have pre existing medical conditions or skin issues
- Grooming can be stopped at any time if we find it’s too stressful or there’s a risk of injury or illness and you will be referred to a vet
